Small business with only one single person (Vanessa Solano) in charge of the whole scheduling department as well as the 24-hour-line phone (not 24-hour, as issues that appear aren’t responded to, because they are one person). No yelling was involved, as the owner (Rodney Malone), stated in their response to my one-star review. How can one yell through very detailed, organized text messages - not even a detailed response was received from him when things were explained to him, nor an offer for an actual phone call. Only plain, short responses, to my very detailed, accurate and respectful text messages. This is a business run by 3 people in the office, and the scheduler’s response to, well, not getting back to me (a former employee who decided I can’t continue when I’m not respected, valued nor heard), is that she coordinates for 80 caregivers and if I didn’t ask a question, then I get no response. Just horrible and unprofessional. The client I worked with was extremely rude to the caregivers, and spoke to me very badly about all of them (insulting their ethnicities, weight, and the way they looked, and so much more!), and I expressed this to the scheduler (we had to report to only her, on a 24-hour line that all clients have access to, but it’s not really 24-hours lol), and she addressed none of it. They care more about high-paying clients and just use caregivers to fill-in shifts, and they don’t care that the client disrespects the caregiver. They prefer to lose or replace caregivers then to address the issue with the client who is just rude and talks horribly about people for no reason at all (even insulted the scheduler and people in the office, but I didn’t mention it to them).I didn’t want to mention any of this in a review, however my non-verbal 1-star review, peaked the interest of the CEO (good job, you can give a detailed response to a google review, but not in private to serious issues regarding your staff or clients), because he only cares about the look of the company, therefore I’m writing a bit. This doesn’t even scratch the surface. All in all, I told the owner that I wish him well in his small business. I hope the clients get proper caregivers. It’s a quick hire because they need caregivers, but they should work on investing in more employees in the office, and listen to their caregivers. It’s just business and money for the owner, as I see it.Purposely, the 5-star reviews go on top and the 1-star reviews go straight to the bottom and they’re from ex employees stating similar things. The owner responds to the negative reviews in a way that makes him look good, and like he had the reasoning. Don’t let that fool you. Just take my example - I only left a 1-star review with no words and he took the time to write that long response, which is historical because he mentions I was yelling but all I did was write detailed texts, it’s impossible to yell, and it makes him look like he’s being reasonable and correct? So many lies. Oh man lol.I wouldn’t hire them to receive a caregiver, nor recommend working for them unless someone likes not being respected, replied to, nor heard.
I recommend Golden Heart to anyone who needs assistance with a living environment either for themselves or their loved ones. They took the time to do an in-depth interview with my wife and I along with my Dad who was in need of 24/7 care. He remained extremely lucid so he was able to express his desires during the interview, some of which were well outside what would normally be expected. Golden Heart was able to assign people very well suited to Dad’s needs, his personality, and his demeanor. They furnished the best of care, on short notice, through the end of my Dad’s life.
